Location:At the junction of the superior 1/3 and middle 2/3 of the philtrum.
If we know the meaning of the name of each point, it will be helpful for our clinic practice,because ancient Chinese did not give a name without thinking it very well.Like this point,Ren Zhong,Ren means human; Zhong,Means …middle,so Ren Zhong means the human is in the middle.In the middle of what? In the middle between the Heaven and the earth.Why I said that it is important to know the meaning of each point.Look,on the upper part of RenZhong,we have 2 eyes, 2 ears,two nose ´´holes´´; then below Ren Zhong, we are 1 mouth,1anus and one urinary tract. In the Chinese culture, 2 is the number of Yin, 1 is the number of Yang,then we put them together,what we see? Tai Gua,look at the image,Tai gua means life.Maybe you will ask,why on our body that the Number Yin is on the top and Number Yang stays at the lower part.Because only like this we can communicate with the heaven (Tian) and earth (Di).When one fetus is still in the uterus,its body stays opposite direction against the mother.To the fetus,the mother´s body is a mini-universe.When he borns,he change the direction soon to match the “real” heaven and the earth.
